Summer Part 2!

Last month we spent a couple long weekends out of town. First we went camping with some friends up on Mt Hood at Green Canyon campground along the Salmon River. We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. It had been a couple years since Dan and I had been camping, I forgot how much I enjoyed it! Nolan slept well (thank goodness) and didn't try to run away or touch the fire so all went pretty well. The nearby stream was a daily activity as well as walks and playing in the dirt.

Then we went to Eagle Crest with my family for a long weekend. Again this was great. It's always nice going over to Central Oregon and it was great to have my parents around to spend time with Nolan so Dan and I could get a break. We hiked Black Butte one morning, went on several walks, went swimming, golfed and overall relaxed.

Summer!

Nolan is now 17 months old! We've been busy the last couple of months playing outside, keeping cool in the heat, and we took Nolan on his first plane ride. 

We flew down to the Bay area to visit some friends. Lucky for Dan the Oakland A's had a home game that we were able to fit into our visit, Nolan seemed to be fairly interested, for a few innings at least. Although, from the pictures below, it looks like Nolan sat still on the plane it was anything but smooth sailing. Let's just say we survived but try to block it out of our minds. He just wont sit still... EVER.

We enjoyed the 4th of July weekend at home, joined in a neighborhood parade not far from our house and did a few fireworks.

Easter, Coast and Misc...

We enjoyed a nice Easter at our house. My mom did an egg hunt for Nolan. He had no understand of what was going on although stayed motivated once he realized there were treats inside.

We spent a beautiful weekend at the coast a few weeks back with some friends. We couldn't have asked for a better day on the Oregon coast, sunny and no wind! Nolan sure enjoyed the sand and water.
