MONTANA!

We recently got back from a week long trip to Montana. We took the overnight train from Portland to Whitefish.

Traveling by train was great although I would not recommend taking a one year old along, especially one that can't sit still for more than 5 min. We spent a lot of time walking back and forth in the cars and a night was spent in the observation car.

We lucked out with some great weather and saw a beautiful part of the country. Here are some pictures from our trip:

ONE Year Old!

We'll we made it! One year old, can't hardly believe it. He seems to have grown into a toddler overnight. He had his first tantrum a few weeks ago, although he is usually a pretty happy little guy, Dan and I thought it was pretty funny. He thinks all cats are named "Bob" because of our cat Bob and likes reading the same books over and over and over again. I have started to hide a few.

We threw Nolan a pizza party for his first birthday with our families. He seemed to have a great time and enjoyed opening presents and eating his cupcake (mostly with no hands).

We also enjoyed a few snow days this past month!

Here are some pictures:

11 Months Old!

Nothing like being two weeks late! I'd like to blame it on the fact that I have too much going on but really
I have procrastinated at posting due to the LARGE number of pictures I had to sort through. You see, Dan surprised me at Christmas with a nice new DSLR camera and to say we've had fun taking pictures is an understatement!

Nolan took his first steps two days after he turned 10 months old so we've had a full month of walking.
It took him a couple weeks to get confident to where he now prefers to walk. He still has tumbles but they don't seem to faze him. He's enjoying his new found freedom.

We had a wonderful Christmas visiting both our families. Although Nolan had no idea what was going on he seemed to enjoy the festivities.

Here are some pictures from Nolans 11th month:
