October and November Fun

After our vacations we enjoyed some time around home. Went to The Pumpkin Patch as we did last year. This time Nolan was more involved in picking out his own pumpkin and enjoyed playing around the farm.

Thanks to his Cousin, Nolan dressed as a Dragon for Halloween. We briefly took him Trick-Or-Treating on Woodstock, many businesses were handing out candy while the community center had music, food and games. He didn't really 'get it' but had a good time. I'm disappointed to say he has a very bad choice in candy...

We have a budding musician on our hands. Nolan loves music and instruments, especially the guitar. We'll see how long it lasts but it keeps him sitting still for more than 10min. Luckily Grandpa Tom and Grandma Kathleen have guitars he gets to play during visits.

We celebrated Thanksgiving with each family and after stayed down in Corvallis for the weekend. Nolan enjoyed kicking off the Christmas festivities watching his first parade.

Vacation

The end of Sept and early Oct were busy for us. We went on two trips back to back. First down to Santa Barbara California for a beautiful wedding. Dan was the Best Man for his great friend growing up Jerry, and Nolan was the Ring Bearer. Nolan made it down the isle although not without help (he did better at rehearsal). He did however give the Groom "knuckles" when he got down the isle to make up for it.

After a long weekend in CA we headed home for a couple days before Nolan and I flew to Colorado. We went to visit a dear high school friend Rachel and her family, as well as go see the Beavers take on the Colorado Buffalo. Dan joined us later in the week. Boy is it hard flying with a kiddo alone! I got SO LUCKY that the only person to not show up for the flight happened to be in our row so we had an extra seat. Not sure we would have made it otherwise. It was great to spend time with Rae, relax a bit, and meet her two kids. We had such wonderful time, plus the Beavs won!

Summer Part 3

Here is a bit more summer fun. We rounded it out with a trip to Oaks Amusement Park, the start of football season, Go Beavs!, and Dan and I enjoyed a night out of dinner and a concert for my birthday.

We haven't been using our big camera as much lately, mostly relying on cell phones, so we have been doing a bad job of documenting what we have been up to. Here are a few photos.
